In 2007, the majority of floors 1 to 3 were completely renovated and the apartments were built in. One apartment that already existed at the time was renovated. Most of the apartments have upscale fixtures and fittings. In 2020, soundproof windows were installed in the apartments in the front part of the building on floors 1 to 3.
The commercial units were fitted with new shop windows in 2018. It is possible to operate a restaurant in the larger business unit; a ventilation system and a grease separator are already in place (grease separator not connected, requires maintenance, available from 01092024 ). The associated cellar is also used for catering operations (in the front area of the red building).
The heating has been renewed, it is a central heating system with condensing technology.
Parking spaces were purchased for the entire floor area of the commercial units and partly for the cellar.
Location
The residential and commercial building is located in the historic old town of Weißenburg. Various stores for daily needs (bakers, butchers, chemists, pharmacies, etc.) are within walking distance. The market square is also less than a 2-minute walk away, the school center is approx. 5 minutes away and the train station is approx. 10 minutes away. Restaurants, museums and cinemas are also nearby. The very good city center location will be further enhanced in the future by the city of Weissenburg's development project on the adjacent Sigwart site (brewery building) and the planned conversion work on the Plerrer. This will allow for significantly more outdoor gastronomy.
