For more extensive shopping, you can reach the Rahlstedt Center in around 5 minutes by car.
From there, you also have the option of taking a regional train to Hamburg city center or Schleswig-Holstein. There are also excellent public transport connections thanks to the U1 underground line with the nearby Berne and Oldenfelde stops. This will take you to Hamburg city center in 20 minutes. There are also several bus stops and lines close to the apartment.
You also have plenty of choice for relaxing hours in the countryside: Höltigbaum and Stellmoorer Tunneltal, two of Hamburg's nature reserves, are in the immediate vicinity. They are ideal for long jogging routes and bike tours, hikes along the Wandse and exploring nature on your doorstep.
Further north, you can take a leisurely stroll through the Berner Gutspark and admire the castle of the same name.
