One of several kindergartens is located in the immediate vicinity. The schools in Ochtersum (elementary school and secondary school) are within walking distance, and there are numerous other schools in the nearby urban area.

The Grüne Landhaus, the Barienrode garden center and the Hagebaumarkt ensure that gardening is not far away either.
For leisure activities, the popular Hohnsensee lake, the adjoining Jo-Wiese outdoor pool, the sports fields of the major Hildesheim sports clubs and the Wildgatter animal park with playground, barbecue area and school biology center located in the Steinberg mountain range are all in the immediate vicinity. Living in Hildesheim could hardly be more beautiful.
