The exterior of this Art Nouveau house, which is almost exclusively owner-occupied, stands out with its beautiful stucco façade, which was renovated in 2015 along with the balconies. Further work was carried out on top of this, such as the renovation of the rear façade and, most recently, the roof cladding. The renovation of the gable end is currently planned, and I will be responsible for the necessary special contribution.
The apartment itself was completely renovated in 2008. Care was taken to preserve the special features typical of the Art Nouveau period in the best possible way, without neglecting the comfortable and modern style of today. This resulted in an interplay of old and new, which gives this apartment its special charm.
The typical Art Nouveau elements from the Wilhelminian period include
- classic room layout with high ceilings and large window elements with strip lighting.
- restored original stucco and rosettes on the walls and ceilings
- Solid wooden planks in the rooms
- original doors with glass inserts, which have been refurbished in detail and fitted with new chased glass ornaments.
The kitchen, the entire bathroom and the separate WC have been renovated:
- the kitchen has been newly tiled and fitted with a fitted kitchen with white high-gloss fronts and stainless steel appliances.
- The bathroom is bright and spacious and has a separate bathtub and shower.
- The separate WC has also been redesigned and fitted with white sanitaryware and a towel radiator.
Location
The very popular Hoheluft-Ost district is characterized by its location close to the center of Hamburg. The surrounding Art Nouveau buildings, the old trees and the proximity to the Outer Alster lake add to the charm of this attractive district.
Shopping facilities for daily needs can be found on Eppendorfer Baum, Eppendorfer Landstraße, Hoheluftchaussee and the weekly market on Isestraße.
The wide variety of restaurants, cafés and bars, the many small owner-managed stores and boutiques and the small parks and green spaces in between ensure a high quality of life and make up the special feel-good factor of this district.
The connection to the public transport network is very good. The Eppendorfer Baum and Hoheluftbrücke subway stations and various bus routes are in the immediate vicinity.
The city center is just a few minutes away by car, the airport can be reached in approx. 15 minutes and the A7, A1 and A24 freeways in 10 minutes.
The University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf is in the immediate vicinity.
