Over 20 years of family life have been lived here, and you can feel it in every corner - inside and out.
We restored the house (built in 1912) in 2000 with great attention to detail, restoring the original architecture (see pictures before and after!). Frisian windows and other regional style elements give it a special charm. The new, glass-roofed, large inner courtyard creates cozy times even in bad weather. A real plus for everyday family life: the two further entrances to the house located here, which make the daily routine easier - ideal, for example, when children come into the house with muddy boots or when shopping needs to be stowed away quickly.
Inside, the house has been completely redesigned with a modern, open-plan layout that is perfectly suited to life with children. The beautiful old, easy-care terrazzo floors have been retained and create a special atmosphere.
On the first floor, the spacious living/dining/kitchen area forms the heart of the house - perfect for family time together. The wood-burning stove (built in 2011), which can be seen from two sides, provides cozy, long-lasting warmth on cold days and even warms the (children's) rooms above. There is also a study or guest room, a guest WC with shower and a spacious utility area with another bathroom.
There are three large bedrooms on the upper floor - enough space for parents, children and perhaps even a play or hobby room. The modern, spacious family bathroom offers plenty of room to start the day in the morning.
This house combines historic charm with the needs of a modern family - a real home where children can grow up and unforgettable memories can be made.

Location
The property is located on the quiet outskirts of the old village center of Stedesand, a family-friendly village with approx. 950 inhabitants. The village is characterized by a young age structure, thanks to numerous craft businesses and small development areas - a perfect environment for families with children, also thanks to the existing fibre optic connections.
Children are well catered for: a kindergarten and playground are within walking distance. A petrol station provides basic supplies, while extensive shopping facilities, discount stores, doctors, a hospital, restaurants and schools of all levels (elementary school, community school and grammar school) are just a 5-10 minute drive away. The train stations in the area also provide good connections to the North Frisian Islands (Sylt, Föhr, Amrum) and the Wadden Sea with its Halligen islands.
There is a wide range of leisure activities within a 10-15 minute drive (tennis, padel, golf, swimming, surfing, kiting, kayaking, cycling, horse riding, music...). Public transportation such as bus, Ruf bus are available in the village.
