A rainwater cistern with a capacity of 3000 liters is buried in the garden. This means that the garden can be watered all year round without using tap water.

Location
The seaside resort of Glowe is a state-approved resort with around 1000 inhabitants and is located in the north-east of the island of Rügen. This is where the over 10 km long fine sandy beach "Schaabe" begins, which stretches along the long Tromper Wiek bay to Juliusruh and the Wittow peninsula.
Glowe has a very good infrastructure. There is a marina at Königshörn, various restaurants with a wide range of flavors from fish to Greek cuisine, cafés, fish smokehouses, a supermarket and the Kurplatz for events and festivals.
Glowe has been a popular place to live and vacation for young and old for many decades. Everyone gets their money's worth, nature lovers as well as cyclists, anglers and sun worshippers, as Rügen is one of the sunniest regions in Germany.
