The house was completely renovated and modernized in 2010.
For example, all floors were replaced, all supply and disposal pipes including heating pipes and the electrics were completely re-laid, walls and ceilings were renewed or newly created on the upper floor, thermal insulation was installed, new windows were fitted, the roof of the extension was re-covered, the façade was redesigned and the terrace was built.
The tiled stove in the living room (ground floor) was given a new chimney as part of this extensive construction work. Another chimney in a corner of the living room serves to connect the fireplace in the neighboring half of the house.
All floors on the first floor are tiled (except for the current living room) and fitted with underfloor heating. The living room has laminate flooring over this underfloor heating. In the kitchen and the adjoining dining room, new laminate flooring has been laid on the tiles by the last tenant.
