With its ornate facades and inner courtyards from the Wilhelminian era, it is extremely popular with artists and students.
You need about 7 minutes to walk to the city center and about 15 minutes to the train station.
If you want to go to the UNI, there is a bus to the Max-Horkheimer Strasse canteen stop.
The Bayer AG pharmaceutical research center can be reached by bus line 613 in 15 minutes without changing buses.
The Bayer plant on Friedrich-Ebert Strasse is easy to reach with the Wuppertal suspension railroad.
The St. Josef hospital on Bergstrasse and the Agaplesion Bethesda hospital on Hainstrasse are just a few minutes' walk away.
The Nordbahntrasse (www.nordbahntrasse.de) is particularly worth a visit when the weather is nice.
It is ideal for jogging, inline skating or cycling, as it is over 23 km long and has virtually no inclines, which is the exception rather than the rule in Wuppertal.
