Oberostendorf (population 1537) is a municipality in the Swabian district of Ostallgäu, close to Kaufbeuren (14 km) and the very beautiful Landsberg am Lech (19 km). There is a very good (long-distance) train connection via Buchloe (12 km) and a public transport connection to Kaufbeuren. Shopping facilities for everyday needs are available directly in the village in a self-service branch of the V-Markt 7 days a week. You will also find a beautiful nursery in the village. A general practitioner, a dentist and a physiotherapist are also located directly in the village. The Oberostendorf community kindergarten is located in Gutenberg. You will find an elementary school in Ketterschwang and Untergermaringen, the secondary school is in Germaninnen and there is a grammar school in Buchloe and Kaufbeuren.
