The country house is in a quiet location on the outskirts of the spa town of Bad Berka, which has a population of around 7600 and is just a 10-minute walk from the town center. The town is located in the 150 km2 nature reserve "Mittleres Ilmtal", in the hills of the Ilm-Saale-Platte and is about 12 km south of the classical city of Weimar, about 24 km southeast of the state capital Erfurt and 35 km southwest of the university town of Jena.
As a basic center, Bad Berka has almost all the infrastructure needed for everyday life, such as kindergartens, schools, shopping facilities, doctors, clinics, pharmacies and restaurants. Weimar and Erfurt as well as the surrounding towns such as Kranichfeld and Blankenhain are easily accessible by public transport.
