Hammerschmiede, a small district in the north-east of Augsburg, offers a quiet oasis away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Here, houses are lined up next to each other, surrounded by greenery and far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Most of the buildings are detached houses of varying ages, surrounded by gardens of varying sizes. Hammerschmiede has a tranquil village flair, while the vibrant life of Augsburg's city center is more likely to be found on the other side of the Lech to the west.
Neuburger Straße runs through the district as a north-south tangent and connects the residents with the rest of the city. People mainly live here, and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. In addition to detached houses, there are also some terraced and semi-detached houses that complete the Hammerschmiede picture.
All in all, Hammerschmiede is a place that is perfect for people who like it quiet but still appreciate being close to the big city.

-The Hammerschmiede adventure playground (ASP) is an educationally supervised playground for children aged 6 to 13. In addition to plenty of space to run around, there is play equipment, animals, a construction site and a workshop. Birthdays can also be celebrated here.
The Hammerschmiede may not offer much big city flair, but the center of Augsburg is easily accessible by bus or car. In addition, it is only a few kilometers to the Augsburg Ost exit of the A8, and from there it is around 70 kilometers to Munich and around 160 kilometers to Stuttgart
