Two photovoltaic systems were installed in 2008 and 2023 and will help you save on electricity costs and generate income from feeding electricity into the grid.
With the system from 2008, you feed in an average of 1,750 kWh per year with a remuneration of 46 cents per kWh and thus generate income of over 800 euros per year
The system from 2023 supplies you with around 3,000 kWh per year for your own consumption (e.g. for the wallbox on the carport wall if you drive an electric car or for additional consumption in your home office). You feed a further 1,000 kWh into the grid.
The house also has a very efficient gas condensing boiler (hydronic balancing in 2022) and radiators with smart thermostats that can be controlled via smartphone. The average gas consumption in the two-person household for heating, cooking and hot water was a very low 7,000 kWh per year.

The very well-maintained terraced house from 2008, which has teak parquet flooring almost everywhere, has a living space of 135 m2 and even offers the convenience of air conditioning, which cools the second floor pleasantly when the Rhenish summer is particularly hot. The plot measures 225 m², so garden lovers will also get their money's worth without having to invest too much in gardening.

You enter the house via the beautifully designed entrance area and from here you reach the open-plan living and dining area with adjoining kitchen and access to the covered terrace and the lovingly landscaped garden with a wide variety of fruit and ornamental shrubs, including a raised bed. The residential area is very attractive for families with children as well as for older people. It is surrounded by many green areas, especially along the banks of the Sieg and the Dondorfer See, which are ideal for relaxing walks, bike rides or jogging.
The Siegbogen S-Bahn stop is around 200 m away and within walking distance. Workplaces in Cologne or Bonn can therefore be reached quickly every 20 minutes.
Siegbogen has its own daycare center, an elementary school and the Meiersheide comprehensive school is also within walking distance.
Rewe, Lidl, Aldi, Pflanzen Breuer and Fressnapf are also just a stone's throw away at around 800 m and cover all basic needs. Other shopping facilities, doctors and pharmacies, the municipal grammar school, the Hennef-West comprehensive school and Hennef railroad station can be reached by bike, bus, S-Bahn or car in just a few minutes.
