According to the planning department of the city of Mettmann, the property is not located in the area of a legally valid development plan. In the land use plan of the city of Mettmann, which has been legally valid since 1990, the area is shown as a "special area, educational, nursing and medical facility". Discussions to date with the relevant authorities have shown that only uses that are in line with the designation in the land use plan will be approved. The town of Mettmann will not show any willingness to compromise on other uses. New buildings may be constructed here (after consultation) and "within a project-related development plan - possibly an offer development plan. This means that the site can be optimally planned at the present time or successively to the land use plan.
