In its heyday, celebrities such as Empress Elisabeth of Austria (also known as "Sissi") and the German statesman Otto von Bismarck came here to recuperate. The farm is an ideal starting point for numerous hikes in the Ulten Valley. Various mountain pastures and the Schwemmalm skiing and hiking area can be reached in a short time.
