Location
Oberappersdorf is an idyllic village in the vicinity of the municipality of Zolling. It lies on the edge of the Amper Valley, which is connected to nature, on the southern fringes of the Hallertau. Gentle hills and fields characterize the region, which still radiates rural tranquillity and tradition. If you are looking for a place for hiking, cycling and relaxing walks, this is the place for you. There are also several small bathing lakes and beer gardens. Oberappersdorf has even had its own MTB training trail since last year!
In Oberappersdorf you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city, but are also quickly in Moosburg, Freising, Munich or at MUC airport. The district and university town of Freising, which is around twelve kilometers away, can be reached quickly via the B301. The nearest highway connections are the A9 via Allershausen or the A92 via Freising or Moosburg. Munich Airport is only 20 kilometers away, and the cities of Mainburg and Landshut are also within easy reach. Munich is about 45 kilometers away and can be reached by train and/or S-Bahn. Zolling/Oberappersdorf is connected to Freising by the public bus system.
Nearby Zolling offers a good infrastructure. There are several supermarkets, a drinks market, a regional butcher's, pizzeria and Bavarian restaurant, a pharmacy, doctors' and dentists' surgeries, physiotherapy, two kindergartens with public playgrounds and a primary and secondary school. Direct organic food is also available from the neighboring farms. Naturally, Zolling is also home to clubs and associations with different interests as well as a branch of the adult education center.
