Location
Todtmoos is located in the south of the Upper Black Forest. The municipal area extends over an altitude of 700m above sea level up to the 1263m high Hochkopf. The climatic health resort is nestled in the steep and densely wooded Wehrtal valley. The mild, stimulating climate is characterized by long periods of sunshine and clean air. On midsummer days, it is pleasantly warm and not too hot. There are also many opportunities to do sport. In addition to various clubs (tennis, ski club, soccer...) there are also nature-based leisure activities in summer (hiking, cycling, Nordic walking, mountain biking and many more) and in winter (cross-country skiing, alpine skiing).
In the village (approx. 800m away) there are doctors, a bank branch, post office, butcher, baker, souvenir stores, cafes, restaurants and a supermarket. Todtmoos also has a kindergarten and an elementary school. Many excursion destinations and tourist highlights can be found in the immediate vicinity of the Black Forest village. The Feldberg ski area is approx. 22 km away and Titisee approx. 30 km.
