Am Grasweg 14, 41379 Brüggen – Nordrhein-WestfalenWelcome home! Our detached house is solidly built (Poroton bricks), contemporary insulated and clinkered. We have always looked after the house and maintained it permanently. The last major maintenance measure was the replacement of the gas heating with an efficient air/heat pump in March 2023. The front door faces east and is surrounded by a small front garden and two sycamore trees. From the hallway behind the front door, you first enter the guest WC on the right and the dining room next to it, straight ahead into the cozy living room (on two levels) and to the left into the spacious kitchen. A glass-covered terrace adjoins the kitchen. There you have a sheltered outdoor seating area for dining in the fresh air or barbecuing. Ideal in spring and fall, when you want to sit outside in shelter but the open terrace is still too "fresh".
The eye-catcher in the hallway is the wooden staircase with metal rods leading upstairs and the front of the stylish tiled stove with the door to light the stove. The tiled stove is built across 3 rooms - kitchen, hallway and living room - and forms a central element of the living room design on the ground floor. It also provides additional heating for cozy warmth on cold days. The living room is adjoined to the south by a glass extension to the garden, which on the one hand provides a view of the garden and on the other gives the feeling of sitting directly in the garden. In the evening, when it is dark, the garden lighting gives the entire rear property a sense of depth. You don't just look into the darkness, but into the illuminated garden. Another staircase leads from the 1st floor to the attic. There is an additional room which was used as an office. The staircase and the office room upstairs are fitted with a total of 10 skylights (in addition to the windows in the gable), so that a lot of light comes in and everything is very bright. Light, warmth and a bright design are the hallmarks of the house.
The house has a full basement and two-thirds of the basement rooms have been converted into living space. The floors are tiled and the walls and ceilings are plastered. In the basement there is a further shower and the pre-equipment for the installation of a sauna as well as a further WC. The utility room has connections for a washing machine and dryer as well as a working kitchen. A garage with wall-box is attached to the west side of the house and offers space for 1 car. An additional staircase leads from the garage to the basement. At the rear there is a door to the terrace of the house.

The living area has a white-painted wooden beamed ceiling which creates a cozy atmosphere in the living and dining room. The centrally located tiled stove supports this on cold days with cozy warmth. White-painted wooden windows are installed.

You can reach the family doctor's center and the bus station, as well as several grocery stores and drugstores in 5 minutes on foot. You can also reach the town center or the Schwalm nature reserve with its extensive walking and hiking opportunities in just a few minutes.
The castle community of Brüggen has around 16,000 inhabitants and is located in the far west near the Dutch border in the middle of the Schwalm-Nette nature park. From Brüggen, it is about 5 km to Holland. You can do this easily by bike or go on extensive hiking or cycling tours to various natural beauties in the large border forest. In addition to the nature and leisure opportunities, there is a wide range of cultural activities and an interesting gastronomic offer, especially in the town center around Brüggen Castle. In Brüggen, people know how to celebrate and therefore also how to "live".
You can reach the highway 52 from Brüggen via the B 221 in about 5 minutes and in normal traffic you can be in Düsseldorf in just over half an hour.
