Location
Hochzoll is located in the south-east of Augsburg and was incorporated into the city in 1913. Over 20,000 inhabitants live in the 377-hectare district of Hochzoll. Hochzoll is divided into the districts of "Hochzoll-Nord" and "Hochzoll-Süd". The two districts are separated by the Augsburg - Ingolstadt railroad line.
Transport connections
Hochzoll has its own train station and excellent connections to the rail network to Munich, Ulm and Ingolstadt, as well as to Augsburg main station in just a few minutes. The A8 freeway towards Munich and Ulm is also just a few kilometers away via the B300 main road and the AIC 25 district road. Public transport to Augsburg city center is provided by streetcar line 6, which began operating at the end of 2010. Bus lines 30, 31 and 29 run in the district as a feeder to the streetcar.
Hochzoll has many positive, so-called "soft location factors" and thus a high residential value. The location near the Lech recreational area and the Kuhsee lake are particularly worth mentioning here. There is also a secondary school in the district, the Rudolf-Diesel-Gymnasium.
