Location
The Strandhochhaus Döse impresses with its exposed location in the first row and thus with its direct proximity to the sandy beach, not far from the spa center in Döse. Doctors, banks, pharmacies, playgrounds, shopping facilities, restaurants, spa gardens and the Kugelbake are all within a few minutes' walk.
Public transport stops with direct connections to the city center/train station are not far from the house. The train station offers connections to both Hamburg and Bremen (via Bremerhaven). It is only around 6 km to the A 27 highway in the direction of Bremerhaven/Bremen. This means that there are generally good supra-regional transport connections.
The district of Döse is the northernmost point of the city of Cuxhaven and therefore also of Lower Saxony. Here you will find the town's landmark, the historic "Kugelbake" sea mark, which marks the mouth of the Elbe into the North Sea. A long sandy beach with a varied beach promenade stretches from the Kugelbake in the west across the spa districts of Döse and Duhnen, which merges into a walking and cycle path to the spa district of Sahlenburg. To the east, the popular Grimmershörnbucht bay with its green beach takes you further into the harbor area. The beach promenade as well as the bay and the harbor offer a variety of restaurants and cafés. Döse is part of the tourist core area of Cuxhaven alongside the district of Duhnen.
