Halver is a town in the west of the Märkischer Kreis district with approx. 16,000 inhabitants, situated in a scenic location on the border between the Bergisches Land and Sauerland regions.
In addition to the dense town center, Halver consists of a large number of smaller settlements spread across the entire surrounding area, which is heavily dominated by agriculture and forestry. The supply infrastructure is correspondingly centralized.
