Location
The town of Celle is located on the southern edge of the Lüneburg Heath. It lies approx. 37 km north-east of Hanover, approx. 60 km north-west of Braunschweig and approx. 120 km south of Hamburg and has a population of over 70,000. Celle has good transport connections, both by car and by train. Freeways and main roads are within easy reach and the international airport Hannover-Langenhagen is only about 30 minutes away. The restored half-timbered houses in the historic old town center and Celle Castle are very attractive. The spacious pedestrian zone in the city center makes for pleasant shopping in the numerous stores and boutiques. A comprehensive school system and many leisure activities contribute to the high residential value of the town.
