The property is a former agricultural residential and farm building, which was built around the 16th century, continuously renovated and rebuilt between 1989 and 1993. The refurbishment was carried out under building biology aspects.
The building is recognized as a cultural monument that shapes the landscape and is divided into two residential units (165 and 230 sqm). The larger apartment was also used commercially at times. Thanks to many windows on the first floor and numerous dormers and skylights on the upper floor, all rooms have very good to good lighting conditions. Two attics, several wall cupboards and shelves in the sloping ceilings provide ample storage space.
Some of the windows and two bathrooms have been replaced in recent years. The thatched roof was re-roofed with additional insulation in 2019 and the gas heating was replaced in 2023.
Outside, there are four paved terraces and a wooden decking terrace. The individual areas are connected by an extensive paved path system. An old tree population, fruit trees, flower beds, wild meadow areas and hedges create a natural overall picture. No herbicides, insecticides, artificial fertilizers or similar have been used on the site for more than 25 years.
Ongoing maintenance and renovation measures are reflected in the well-kept overall appearance of the residential building as well as the gardens and outdoor areas.
The property has a small wooden shed and four paved parking spaces. There is no car port or other outbuildings.

The thatched-roof house is situated in a secluded location on a historic terp with a panoramic view of the surrounding marshes on a little-used, paved, single-lane road and has good transport links: Bus approx. 150 m, train 4 km, shopping facilities as well as kindergartens and schools 4 to 5 km.
