Weilheim is located in an idyllic Alpine foothills and is the center of the Upper Bavarian Pfaffenwinkel, south of the Ammer and Starnberg lakes. The house is in a very quiet location on the outskirts of the village in the west of Weilheim. You can reach the old town in about 20 minutes on foot, kindergarten and elementary school, bakery and supermarket are within walking distance in about 5 to 10 minutes.
With its historic old town and inviting pedestrian zone with numerous stores, cafés and restaurants, it is a popular shopping town. The district town also has an excellent infrastructure, with schools, kindergartens, doctors and all facilities for daily needs on site.
Weilheim has a high recreational value due to its proximity to the mountains and lakes. The nearby meadows and the Ammer river are ideal for jogging, walking or cycling. An indoor swimming pool, sports field and climbing hall in the immediate vicinity add to the leisure activities on offer.
Weilheim has very good transport connections. It is approx. 25 km to Starnberg, approx. 45 km to Garmisch Patenkirchen, approx. 50 km to Munich and approx. 38 km to Landsberg.
Weilheim is on the Munich-Garmisch-Mittenwald railroad line, and there are also direct train connections to Augsburg and Schongau.
