Location
Müllheim in Markgräflerland is a town in the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald. It is a medium-sized center according to the development plan of Baden - Württemberg. It is located between Freiburg and Basel in the western foothills of the southern Black Forest. The landscape was already cultivated in Roman times. Müllheim, embedded in vineyards, is the wine capital of the Markgräflerland. Climatically, the town benefits from the warm air currents from the southwest (Burgundian Gate). Towards the east, it is shielded from the colder continental climate by the Black Forest. Müllheim has a rich cultural life, a wide range of retail outlets and a high quality of life. It is a school center with 6 different schools (over 6000 pupils). The town center has a population of approx. 14,000; including the districts, the population is approx. 20,000.
