The processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a rental contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract.

The data collected are data related to the housing application:
-General personal data, such as name, address and contact details.
-Economic information, such as monthly income, employer

The data is collected in order to make a selection from the housing applicants.

Once the selection process has been completed, the stored data of the housing applicants who are not selected will be deleted immediately.

If a tenancy agreement is concluded, your data will be collected and processed as part of the contractual relationship in accordance with Art. 6 of the GDPR.

Reference to data subject rights:
Pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR, data subjects have the right to obtain information free of charge as to whether personal data concerning them is being processed and, if so, what personal data is involved. In principle, a copy of the data can be requested, unless a legal exception applies. In this context, information on the specific circumstances and the expected duration of the processing may also be requested. Based on knowledge of the processing of personal data, the following further rights of data subjects may be considered:
-If the data is incomplete or incorrect, there is a right to rectification of the data in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR.
-According to Art. 17 GDPR, there is a right to erasure of one's own personal data if there is a reason for erasure stated therein and there are no obstacles to erasure such as retention obligations.
-According to Art. 18 GDPR, the restriction of the processing of personal data can be requested in the cases mentioned there.
-If the processing of personal data is based on a contract, you can request the transfer of your own personal data to another provider in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR. Instead of the transfer, you can also request the provision of your own data in a commonly used format.
-For reasons of a particular personal situation and the resulting unreasonableness of the processing, an objection can be lodged against otherwise lawful processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR. Pending the decision on the objection, a restriction of processing may be requested in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR.
-Art. 22 GDPR protects data subjects from decisions in individual cases that are made exclusively by automated means, including profiling.
