Location
The apartment is located in a new development in Heist. The municipality of Heist, with around 2,700 inhabitants, is located to the west of the district town of Pinneberg between the towns of Wedel and Uetersen in the middle of a peaceful idyll of Heistmer forest, Tävsmoor, tree nursery areas and meadows. The Elbe with its local recreation area can be reached in a short time by bike or car. Heist can be reached via the Tornesch or Pinneberg-Nord junctions of the A23 motorway, or via the B431 federal highway. Numerous bus routes with stops in the municipality connect Heist with the Wedel S-Bahn station and the Tornesch station for the Hamburg-Kiel rail connections, thus facilitating a smooth commute to Hamburg by public transport.
Stores for daily needs (Netto supermarket) as well as doctors, dentists, hairdressers, bakers and restaurants are located directly in the municipality.
The former agriculture can still be seen in the village center. There is a primary school and a childcare school in Heist, as well as a volunteer fire department. Heist is also home to two daycare centers, the DRK daycare center and the Waldkindergarten Wurzelkinder e.V. There are also numerous clubs and leisure facilities in the village. Secondary schools are located in the neighboring municipality as well as Wedel, Uetersen and Elmshorn. The Uetersen/Heist airfield, which can be reached after a walk through the Heistmer Forest, is a popular excursion destination. There is a restaurant where you can watch the planes.
