Location
Kesternich is a district of the municipality of Simmerath in the city region of Aachen, North Rhine-Westphalia. The Eifel hilltop village lies at an altitude of around 553 meters on the edge of the Eifel National Park and is therefore an ideal starting point for hikes.
Geographically, Kesternich is located along the state road 166 and the federal road 266, about one kilometer east of the Simmerath town center. Today, Kesternich has around 1,500 inhabitants and has a lively club life.
