Built in 1927, the building was extensively and aesthetically renovated in 2021-2025 in the style of an architect's house without losing its original character. We have attached great importance to the historical shell, natural, breathable building materials and a clear, inviting loft design in the interior.
The rooms are cozy and inviting with their clear shapes, historic capped ceilings and natural surfaces. The underfloor heating uses geothermal energy to create a cozy feeling in all rooms (without the heat building up in the head area).

The apartment is set in 9000 square meters of lovingly landscaped grounds with the 13th century "Labyrinth of Chatres", an outdoor sauna, outdoor bathing tub, yurt and numerous fruit trees with kitchen garden.

The apartment is located in Madsow, a village with 70 inhabitants between Wismar and Neubukow. A 15-minute drive in each direction.

The core of the village consists of the manor house with its historic, imposing listed agricultural buildings and around 30 small, mostly lovingly designed detached houses.

The Baltic Sea is 20 minutes away by car (Rerik is our "home beach"), Rostock and Lübeck 40 minutes, Hamburg 2 hours and Berlin 3 hours.

The silence and the power of nature are unique and priceless. There is hardly any stray light and no technical noises at night. You can experience a starry sky like nowhere else.
