Lake Tollensesee, which has good water quality and several bathing spots, is about 1 km away on foot. The excursion boat "Uns Fritzing" also docks here, directly adjacent to the nature reserve, and can be used to travel to Neubrandenburg during the season. There is also a golf course and a 4* hotel with restaurant in the immediate vicinity. There are plenty of hiking and cycling trails, a castle and a summer toboggan run in the surrounding area. All stores for daily needs can be found in Neubrandenburg, 8 km away.

The journey time from Berlin is about 1.5 - 2 hours by car; however, the property can also be reached by public transport (RE from Berlin main station to Neustrelitz approx. 70min, further by bus approx. 20min.
