Location
Nittel is a wine-growing village on the Moselle and only 4 km from the Wellen/Grevenmacher border crossing. It is located opposite Machtum, has a train station and commuter buses run to Luxembourg City several times a day. It is generally very popular with Luxembourg residents, many of whom already live in the village. There is a dentist, a general practitioner and a pharmacy, a kindergarten, an elementary school and shopping facilities (DM, Netto, bakeries). Vineyards, restaurants and various clubs facilitate leisure activities, even without a vehicle.
