Built in the second half of the 18th century, the house initially served as the mayor's house from 1777-1840.
Since 1872, it has been used for commercial purposes again and again, whether by so-called consumer associations, a porcelain store or finally as the "Gute Stube" restaurant. The first floor is currently used as office space, and use is permitted accordingly. The former restaurant area has been preserved.
Over the years, the listed building has been continuously renovated and extended. For example, the historic town wall was integrated into the building.
