The municipality of Wohratal is a small community with around 2,400 inhabitants on the north-eastern edge of the district of Marburg-Biedenkopf in beautiful central Hesse.

The municipality includes the four districts of Wohra, Halsdorf, Langendorf and Hertingshausen, each of which has its own character.

The district of Waldeck-Frankenberg and the Schwalm-Eder district are adjacent. We are therefore centrally located between the medium-sized centers of Kirchhain, Stadtallendorf, Frankenberg (Eder) and Schwalmstadt, all of which are easily accessible within 15-25 km. It is also only 20 km to the regional center of Marburg with its approx. 75,000 inhabitants. Good connections are guaranteed via the B3 and the L3073 and L3087 state roads.

Childcare is available in the two kindergartens in Wohra and Halsdorf, and schooling begins in our two elementary school in the same districts. Halsdorf is also home to the Wohratal middle school, where pupils can complete their secondary education. Secondary schools are available in Kirchhain, Amöneburg and Marburg, for example.
